ING Bank Outing with EPICC

Following the very successful first outing back in 2017, our dear friends from the ING Bank, Transportation & Logistics team have once again returned. This time, on a bright sunny morning of the 23 August 2019, the volunteers from ING Bank brought our elders from Hua Mei EPICC out on a lovely visit to Gardens by the Bay.

As August was the month of the National Day celebration, our elders were treated to the Orchid Extravaganza exhibition on display in the Flower Dome. It was really an amazing experience as everyone enjoyed taking photos and “we-fies” with the beautiful varieties of orchids. After feasting their eyes on the colourful flowers, the elders were in for another treat as lunch was arranged at the award winning Majestic Bay Seafood restaurant.

The visit was made possible by the generous people from ING Bank, Transportation and Logistics team. Besides sponsoring the admission tickets and lunch for everyone, 13 of their friendly staff came as volunteers and had the opportunity to interact with the elders. Additionally, we received extra help from the IMC Finance team who supported the outing with 10 staff volunteers.

At the end of the visit, as the volunteers were sending the elders off, some were already talking about when and where to go for the next outing. We hope that it won’t be too long till the next one!
