Programme Overview
(SCTP) WSQ Advanced Certificate in Social Service is suitable for individuals with no prior experience in eldercare and have a keen interest to provide professional support services to older persons, as well as to organise and implement programmes tailored to meet the needs of older persons.
This course will cover topics such as programme development and implementation, advocacy and representation, workplace safety, as well as ethical and legal frameworks for duty of care. Additionally, Learners will learn about case and care planning, casework evaluation and collaborative practices across disciplines and sectors.
This course includes practical modules that enable the Learners to apply their knowledge in specific areas relevant to their job responsibilities.

Who Is It For
• Mid-career changers or Job seekers with at least 1 year of working experience in any industry
• Have interest in community eldercare
• Be motivated to learn and possess positive attitude towards work and commitments
Career Aspiration
With professional training and relevant ground experience, applicants can enhance their existing skillsets and progress into job roles such as Programme Coordinator and Executive.
Minimum Entry Requirement
• Singaporeans and Permanent Residents, aged 21 years old and above
• Minimum GCE O Level (3 subject passes including English)
• and/or Work Place Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) with at least Level 4 proficiency
• Possess basic computing skills in Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint
