Course Description
The (SCTP) WSQ Diploma in Social Service is designed to equip aspiring and experienced professionals with the essential skills and knowledge to excel in the social service sector. Learners will gain practical competencies to design and deliver impactful social service programmes that meet the evolving needs of senior clients, lead and motivate teams and volunteers effectively, and manage social policy initiatives supported by sound financial planning.
The course also prepares learners to confidently apply Workplace Safety and Health practices, as well as legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements, enabling them to create safe, compliant, and high-quality service environments that protect both clients and staff.

Who Is It For
- Ideal for experienced individuals looking to upskill in operational and centre management roles within the social service sector.

Course Duration
- Full-time (5 months, 9am-6pm) with Training Allowance (TA).

Course Entry Requirement
Applicants should meet ONE of the following academic requirements
- Minimum GCE ‘A’ Level with 3 subject passes, including English
- Diploma or Degree qualification obtained from local, private, or overseas institutions, where the programme is taught and assessed in English, and the certificate is presented in English.
- Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) with at least Level 5 proficiency (Reading, Listening, Writing, Speaking, Numeracy)
Additional requirements
- Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents aged 21 years and above
- Possess basic computing skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Adobe PDF
