Overview

The Hua Mei Acupuncture and TCM Centre offers a complementary approach to health promotion and management alongside western medicine. We treat conditions that have been approved by the World Health Organisation for acupuncture therapy, such as stroke and osteoarthritis. The Clinic also gives herbal consultation in the Chinese tradition.

What We Offer

• Consultation and acupuncture treatments for a wide range of conditions, with a focus on pain involving the neck, lower back, and knees, as well as neurological conditions such as post‑stroke complications, facial paralysis, pseudobulbar palsy, peripheral neuritis, and insomnia
• Customised herbal formulations to support recovery from common ailments such as colds and digestive discomfort, and to complement long-term management of chronic conditions including hypertension and diabetes. These prescriptions are tailored to each individual’s constitution and treatment plan
• Moxibustion therapy using high quality dried mugwort to warm and stimulate acupuncture points. This therapy supports conditions such as back pain, knee pain, birth contraction pain, and other conditions like paediatric acute diarrhoea, and ulcerative colitis. It has also been shown to modulate the immune system, alter blood circulation and has anti‐aging and anti‐cancer effects
