This course equips learners with essential knowledge and practical strategies to recognise the causes and effects of work stress, and to apply effective coping and self-care techniques. Participants will explore how stress impacts their emotional, mental, physical, and behavioural well-being, as well as workplace performance, and learn how to practise emotional detachment after work to support sustained work-life balance.

Prevailing course fee subsidy at 90% for Singaporeans/PRs and 45% for foreign staff working in eligible CCOs.

COURSE OBJECTIVE
  • Participants will learn to recognise their own physical, emotional, and behavioural signs and symptoms when they are stressed.
  • Participants will identify their sources of stress when working with clients or family members and at workplace.
  • Participants will gain understanding of the effects of stress and the key attributes of managing them.
  • Participants will learn about their own working styles and that of others to complement and embrace each other’s differences.
  • Participants will learn practical tips on self-care including nutrition, basic yoga and mindfulness breathing.
  • Participants will appreciate the eight components of Satir’s Mandala, reflect what it is lacking and how to apply the concept to fill in those gaps.
