This course equips you with practical skills to support older adults with mental health conditions in the community. You will gain the knowledge to understand common mental health issues in older adults, navigate care processes, and identify community resources that help them age well and maintain quality of life.
This course is suitable for you if you are:
- Healthcare and geriatric care professionals working with older adults, including nurses, doctors, geriatricians, allied health staff, and social workers
- Mental health professionals or community health workers
- Volunteers, support workers, or family caregivers involved in eldercare
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Understand common mental health conditions affecting older adults.
- Apply practical care strategies to support older adults with mental health challenges.
- Identify and utilise community resources to enhance the well-being of older adults.
