Caregivers often provide dedicated care to their elderly loved ones in the comfort of their own homes. However, they may not anticipate the many transitions and responsibilities that come with caregiving, and how they must adapt to these changes.

This workshop aims to equip caregivers with the skills to understand and appreciate the motivations and meanings of caregiving, explore the impacts of caregiving, and manage emotions related to caregiving situations. You will also learn the importance of self-care and develop
plans for practicing self-care in your daily caregiving routines.

Participants will learn through facilitated self-reflection and discussion with others. There are also experiential activities such as role play.

You will:

  • Gain awareness of their contributions and motivations in caregiving;
  • Gain appreciation of their strengths and resources in caregiving, and better management of emotions;
  • Integrate self-care as part of their caregiving routine.
