“Danshari” is a concept of life consolidation proposed by Yamashita Hideki, a Japanese debris management consultant. The so-called “Danshari” is to understand the self by sorting out the items. It is a minimalist lifestyle of “less is more” that can free one from obsessing over material things. “Danshari” refers not just to physical clutter, but also mental and emotional clutter. Through this course, participants will learn how to practice “Danshari” through reflection activities to begin their journey to cut off what is not needed, let go of excess waste and detach from attachment.
