Prior to joining Tsao Foundation, Karena held senior roles in banking, insurance and media, leading business transformation, growth, and operational excellence initiatives across Asia. Her expertise spans strategic planning, partnership development, new market expansion, business model design, and organisational transformation.
At Tsao Foundation, she channels this background into building sustainable operating and funding models that help programmes reach more older persons and communities. Her interest lies in connecting financial discipline with healthcare and community care, so that strong organisational foundations can support meaningful outcomes over time.
Karena holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Government and Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Nottingham, UK.
