Nicholas joined Tsao Foundation four years ago while still pursuing his Psychology degree, seeking a place to grow and make a difference. At Tsao Foundation, he found more than work experience. He discovered a supportive, family-oriented culture that encourages learning, innovation, and collaboration. From coordinating courses for seniors to exploring new skills like AI, Nicholas has been able to develop professionally while contributing to meaningful programmes that enrich the lives of older adults. For him, Tsao Foundation is a place where curiosity is welcomed, teamwork is valued, and every day brings opportunities to make an impact.
He recalls joining the organisation while still in university, initially looking for an environment that offered not just job experience but also opportunities to grow in character. Over time, he found both – building practical skills while also learning what it means to create meaningful impact in society. Working closely with programmes for seniors has also given him a broader perspective on how different organisations support ageing communities, and it reassures him to see the many avenues for learning and engagement available even as people grow older. Along the way, he has strengthened his Microsoft skills and picked up emerging tools such as AI, which he now applies in his work. He describes Tsao Foundation as a family-oriented and nurturing environment that supported him when he was still learning the ropes, while also encouraging him to try new ideas and improve how things are done. What keeps him motivated each day is the supportive team around him, as well as the continuous opportunities to learn and grow.
