In his 60s, Gimmy embarked on a new chapter by transitioning from business development in the F&B industry into the social service sector. Motivated by a longstanding commitment to community work, he enrolled at HMTA to equip himself with the knowledge and skills to support older people meaningfully.

Despite balancing studies with personal commitments, he embraced the learning journey. The Academy’s values-based curriculum and community immersion experience strengthened his understanding of active ageing and dignified community care. Upon completion, he joined an Active Ageing Centre, where he designs programmes that keep older persons active, connected, and empowered.
