Our goal is to develop a framework and identify processes that leverage on resilience as an asset or a resource to strengthen individuals, particularly older adults and older women, and communities in the face of disasters, change, and uncertainty.
Founded in 2009 by Tsao Foundation and part of a global alliance with representative members across 16 countries, ILC-S was established to address longevity and the ageing population issues through research and to promote the wellbeing of older people. Our work centres on contributing to national development through initiating research and forging collaborations which inform policy, facilitate policy-action translation, and promote quality, effective practice in Singapore and the region.
As ILC-S takes the lead in the resilience research study, we are working towards empowering and enabling older persons in the community and communities to strengthen and transform through resilience building.
The Coalition of Services of the Elderly, Inc. (COSE) is a non-government organization in the Philippines working with older persons since 1989. We focus on the formation and strengthening of older persons’ organizations; advocacy; and partnership building.
We promote community-based programs of older persons such as health care, residential care facility, age-friendly and diversified livelihood, and inclusive disaster risk reduction and management. Also, in partnership with other humanitarian actors, we strive to address issues and concerns of older persons in humanitarian crisis situations or emergencies.
Foundation for Older Persons' Development (FOPDEV) is an organisation established to improve the quality of life and life security for older people throughout Thailand.
FOPDEV focuses by working with and for older people nationwide to address their physical, psychological, social, educational, and economic needs including their rights to access age friendly environment and life security.
